Hunter Biden Laptop Scandal: Elon Musk Releases Internal Twitter Files

Elon Musk, the new CEO of Twitter, promoted a series of tweets on Friday that showed internal company documents that seemed to show that the outgoing management hid or stopped the Hunter Biden laptop scandal during the 2020 US presidential election.

Matt Taibbi, an independent journalist, said in a long thread that Twitter sources had given him “thousands of internal documents” that showed people were blocked from tweeting and direct messaging about the Biden laptop story.

“Twitter took extraordinary steps to shut down the story, removing links and posting warnings that it could be “unsafe. “They even prevented it from being transmitted via Direct Message, a feature previously reserved for extreme situations such as “Tweeted Taibbi.”

The New York Post’s 2020 cover story said “Smoking Gun.” Email Shows How Hunter Biden Met A Ukrainian Businessman And Introduced Him To V.P. Dad, “referring to Joe Biden, the current president of the United States, who was the vice president of the nation at the time.

But Twitter’s censorship of the story and strangulation of its public dissemination may have played a role in why the story failed to gain traction in the mainstream media.

Twitter cited concerns about hacked materials as the reason for blocking the story shortly after it was published. Because of the way political operatives stole and then leaked Democrats’ emails during the 2016 election, Twitter has a policy prohibiting the distribution of “hacked materials.”

At the time, Twitter listed that policy as one of the justifications for suppressing the article.

According to Taibbi, a former Twitter employee described the choice as “they just freelanced it.” Hacking was the justification, but after a few hours, almost everyone realized it wouldn’t hold. But nobody had the courage to undo it.

According to Taibbi’s interpretation of the internal documents, Twitter’s previous management had a democratic bias, but somehow it never made it to the top of the executive food chain until it was too late.

According to Taibbi, “how much was done without CEO Jack Dorsey’s knowledge and how long it took for the situation to become “un(Expletive)” (as one ex-employee put it) even after Dorsey jumped in” was an incredible subplot of the Twitter/Hunter Biden Laptop Affair.

Dorsey said at a congressional hearing on misinformation and social media that blocking The Washington Post’s report was a “total mistake.”

Facebook and Twitter both made significant efforts to stop the article from spreading.

Employees were prohibited from sending the story’s link via private message or Twitter.

Facebook claimed that it was “reducing” the article’s distribution while independent fact-checkers examined it.

According to Taibbi, there is no proof that the government was involved in Twitter’s decision to block the story.

Despite not having been charged, Hunter Biden claims that federal prosecutors in the US state of Delaware are looking into his taxes.

Any wrongdoing has been refuted by him.
