The USFL season ended with a game between the Birmingham Stars and the Philadelphia Stars for the championship.

With a late touchdown pass of 8 yards to Victor Bolden Jr. and a pick-six by linebacker Scooby Wright III, the Birmingham Stallions defeated the Philadelphia Stars, 33-30, to win the USFL Championship on Sunday night.

After J’Mar Smith got cramps and had to leave the game, McGough took his place. Early in the fourth quarter, he threw an interception, and it was clear that he was upset on the sidelines. Skip Holtz, the coach of Birmingham told McGough that they were going to win the game.

Bolden received the winning touchdown pass from McGough on the following drive.

McGough finished the game by completing 7 of 10 passes for 77 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. Smith completed 10 of 18 passes for 131 yards and a touchdown.

In the win, Wright created 3 tackles. DeMarquis Gates had the most tackles on the team with nine, and he also stopped two passes.

Case Cookus was able to spearhead a ferocious comeback for Philadelphia despite being down 20-9 at the break.

Cookus, on the other hand, would break his leg and have to be taken off the field. K.J. Costello, the backup quarterback, came in late in the game and led the team to a score, but it wasn’t enough to get Philadelphia to the championship.

It was Birmingham’s night in the end.
