The filmmaker Quentin Tarantino is now the proud parent of two children.
On Saturday, the couple welcomed their second child, which was born to the director’s wife, Daniella Pick.
A representative for the couple told People on Monday that they are “thrilled to share that Daniella gave birth to their baby girl on July 2, 2022, a little sister to Leo, which is a little brother to Daniella and Quentin Tarantino’s first kid.”
In February, it was announced that Tarantino, 59, and the singer, 38, were expecting their 2nd child together.
The new baby will have an older brother or sister in the form of Leo, who was born two years ago in February of 2020.
Tarantino revealed to Jimmy Kimmel one year after becoming a father that the couple “nearly” went with a different name for their son.
“People would believe that I named him after Leonardo DiCaprio,” the director revealed during his appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” in June 2021. “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” was broadcast from Los Angeles, California.
“There’s nothing wrong with that but I didn’t,” he added after saying “there’s nothing wrong with that.” “We gave him the name of my wife’s grandfather, but we also thought of him as our own personal little lion, so we gave him that name.”
The Oscar winner struggled to hold back his emotions the following month when speaking about his experience becoming a father.
During an appearance on CBS This Morning in July 2021, the new father shared his sentiments, saying, “If I talk about it too much, I’m already going to start sobbing.” “I can’t even look at a piece of paper with his name printed on it without breaking down in tears.”
The native of Tennessee continued by describing the young child as “the most adorable human being” he had ever encountered.
He exclaimed, “Half the time I look at him, and I’m just giggling because he’s so funny,” which is exactly what he does when he looks at him. “And the other time I just can’t help but break down in tears.”
The winner of the Golden Globe stated that his family life has not “taken anything away” from his professional endeavors since he married Pick in November of 2018.
When Tarantino was asked about the Israeli model, he responded by saying, “I met her, we fell in love, she wanted to get married and I did too, and so I’m married.”
According to what the screenwriter shared at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival, the ceremony that the couple had in Los Angeles caused him to “take stock” of his life and look at it “from a different aspect.”
He remarked at the time, “I’ve never [been married] before, and now I know why I’ve never done so before.” “I was looking forward to meeting the ideal girl.”
