The anime Vinland Saga is based on manga with the same name. Yukimura Makoto is the author and illustrator of this manga. The anime was broadcast between July 8 and December 30, 2019. Thus, it was classified as an anime for the 2019 Summer season.

The Vinland Saga is about a boy named Thorfinn who lost his parents, Thors, during a ship hijacking during the time of the Vikings. His father was murdered by the Viking Askeladd. To kill his father’s killer, Thorfinn joins him on his Viking voyage.

To engage in a proper duel with Askeladd, he must meet his requirements. On the other hand, the tension between the Danes and the English worsens every year. Wars, death, and murder are now commonplace occurrences. These Vikings who commit these crimes are having the time of their lives.

However, the victims have it the worst. Thorfinn must murder Askeladd to avenge his father in light of all these occurrences.

On this journey, however, he becomes involved in the activities of the Danes and the English. The Vinland Saga investigates the consequences of Thorfinn’s involvement in these matters.

It also focuses on the conflict between these two nations as well as the search for paradise on Earth. This incredible historical concept is combined with WIT Studio’s superior animation. The perfect combination, if you ask me.

Fans admired this show for its exciting action and intriguing plot. With these characteristics, Vinland Saga quickly rose to the top of the Seinen genre. Nevertheless, the first season only covers a portion of the actual story. Therefore, fans have longed for a new season.

A sequel that explores this world and its narrative in greater depth. So, will there be a second season? Do we have confirmation of a second season? Let’s take a look, then.

After the first season-ending, complete spoilers for Vinland Saga Season 2 were added.

When we last saw King Sweyn, he had been slain, and Prince Canute had executed Askeladd and taken leadership of the soldiers. Thorfinn lashed out at the Prince after losing his sense of purpose and vengeance.

Thorfinn was sold into slavery as a punishment, and he currently works clearing a forest for a slave master’s plantation. Thorfriends befriends fellow slave Einar, who has attempted to flee servitude on a few occasions.

Ketil, the farm owner, feels that even slaves need to be treated fairly. Thorfinn was assured that if he was successful at farming, he would be able to reclaim his freedom.

Now that Askeladd is no longer present, Thorfinn can focus on life and discovering who he is and wants to be. As a result, he, like his father, develops new regard for life and now practices pacifism as a way of life.
