Demon Slayer season 3 story: What arc is it adapting?
The Swordsmith Village Arc is officially the third season of Demon Slayer. Don’t worry, we won’t go into too much detail about the source material, but we believe it will cover chapters 100-127 of the manga. Entertainment District Arc covered a similar range from 70 to 99, so this season is likely to be 12 episodes, give or take a few.
Unless there are major deviations, Tanjiro should go to Swordsmith Village to get a new weapon. As it happens, the village is home to an ancient weapon. But the story involving the Love and Mist Hashiras, as well as a demon or two, isn’t quite that simple.
On a broader note, the ending of Entertainment District hinted at the direction the show will most likely take after Demon Slayer season 3. Tengen is no longer on the board, but he is still alive and well. Tanjiro, he told Iguro, was his likely Hashira replacement. The Demon Slayers will be able to finally strike back at their ultimate target, Muzan Kibutsuji, from there.
Demon Slayer season 3 cast: who are the new characters and demons?
Tanjiro (Natsuki Hanae), Zenitsu (Hiro Shimono), Inosuke (Yoshitsugu Matsuoka), and Nezuko (Akari Kitou) will all reprise their roles in the Swordsmith Village arc.
They are joined by two characters from the series: Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito and Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanoji. Expect more Hashiras and members of the Twelve Upper Moons/Twelve Kibuki to appear in future seasons.
Haruo Satozaki will direct, with Akira Matsushima designing the characters.

Following the success of the manga and anime, it is almost certain that a second season is in the works. However, we have yet to receive any official information about when the next season will be released, so we will have to wait a little longer for a teaser.
