Victoria Modenesi is a graduate student at University of Missouri-St. Louis from Argentina. She is proudly bilingual, and she enjoys speaking both languages and combining them. She also believes that speaking two or more languages broadens her view of the world(s) around her, and plans to continue learning other languages after graduation. Victoria graduated in Argentina with honors with a BEd in English.

She first came to Saint Louis through an internship with Amity Institute as a student teacher in which she taught Spanish and other subjects in Spanish at a charter and language immersion IB school downtown. She is currently attending to her MA in English: Composition & Rhetoric and is planning to graduate by the end of this academic year.

She joined The Current in 2016 as the Social Media Director and has recently started working on an opinions column called International Rationale. Before joining The Current, she participated at the Gateway Writing Project Summer Institute and is now a Teacher Consultant for GWP. This academic year she will also be working as a graduate research assistant with Dr. Lauren Obermark in the fields of Rhetoric, Pedagogy and Disabilities Studies.
