It’s a great time to be a sports fan in St. Louis. 

The St. Louis Blues will raise their Stanley Cup banner on Oct. 2. The Blues is off to a good start during preseason. They are 4-6. Preseason ended Sunday, Sept. 29. The regular season begins Wednesday, Oct. 2. The Blues will face the Washington Capitals at 7 p.m. at the Enterprise Center. 

The St. Louis Cardinals have a guaranteed spot in the playoffs which begin the same week, though the exact dates are yet to be determined. Baseball playoffs will bring in a lot of business to downtown restaurants and bars.  

Recently a St. Louis area mom launched a sports magazine for parents of athletes. Dr. Stephanie Berk is a child development researcher and publisher of STL Kids Compete

 “I did start a parents’ magazine, and that one was monthly, free to the readers, for four and a half years. Got up to 75,000 readers between the ages of 7 and 98. That was a wonderful way for me to learn how to do the magazine business while still impacting a positive change in the community,” Berk said. The STL Kids Compete Magazine is available throughout the St. Louis metro area.  

The St. Louis Football Club have played 29 games so far this season. They won 11, drawn 8, and lost 10. 

This past Saturday, September 28 at 7:30 p.m. located at Worldwide Technology Soccer Park in Fenton, Missouri. They will face Atlanta FC. Their next home game is Saturday, Oct. 5 at the same location where the St. Louis’ FC will go against Louisville FC at 7:30 p.m.
