The Wonder Years leave nothing to wonder about

The Wonder Years is more than just a TV show, it is a band that is bringing life to a scene that most think is quickly dying off. With the release of The Wonder Years’ latest album, “The Upsides,” power pop is far being six feet under.

At first glance, the artwork on the front of Black Water Rising’s self-titled debut album looks dark and ominous.

Sigur Ros’ last album finally saw the Icelandic band sing a bit in English. The title of the song in question, “All Alright,” was even steeped in American colloquialism.

With its tendency to act like multimedia wallpaper, a lot of times drone music goes under-appreciated. On the surface, Baltimore duo Beach House does not seem to do much to dispel this reputation.
The songs are all sleepy and fairly unenthusiastic, and Victoria Legrand’s voice is a winding display of robust femininity that hardly even attempts (more)

Electronic music can trace its root back to the ‘20s. Kraftwerk popularized the more specific genre, electronic dance music, in the early ‘70s. Since that time, the genre has evolved into a strikingly vast pool of subgenres, many with characteristics so subtly different that distinguishing between them may seem petty.
