Over the summer, UMSL is undergoing a variety of infrastructure improvements which includes maintenance on roads, parking lots and telephone services.

Construction in parking lot E began on June 27. While construction took place, half of the parking lot remained open for students and faculty to park in. In addition, both the North and South Millenium Student Center Parking Garages remained available for additional parking while construction took place. The maintenance process included saw cutting and removing certain areas, crack routing and filling, and constructing a final asphalt surface. Parking lot E construction is expected to be completed by July 13.

Parking lot F, located near the Campus Police Station, is also receiving maintenance that is expected to take place from July 16 to July 27.

The parking lot construction started on May 24 and came after work on the roads Arnold B. Grobman and Weinman Way, located near the Millenium Student Center Parking Garages. The road work involved removing the previous road surface in order to repair and resurface the area.

In addition to the road and parking lot construction, Telephone Services began phone system maintenance on July 13 and lasted until July 14. The maintenance involved upgrading the Campus ShoreTel Communicator to Mitel Connect phone system. During the time of maintenance, users were warned about loss of phone service, loss of connection to ShoreTel, and delayed delivery of voicemail messages were expected to occur.

UMSL staff and faculty received instructions on how to review and update their personal information in PeopleSoft myHR. In order to be included in the A – Z section of the 2018 – 2019 Faculty & Staff Telephone Directory, changes in information such as work address, campus telephone number and University of Missouri assigned email address are required to be submitted to Human Resources by July 27. Instructions on how to upgrade and minimize service disruption on both Windows and Mac can be found at www.umsl.edu/technology/phones/.
