The following is a series of daily crime and incident reports issued by the University of Missouri- St. Louis Police Department between January 19 and 25.
January 19: No incidents to report.
January 20: A student was transported to the hospital via ambulance after expressing suicidal thoughts in the South Campus parking garage at 1:04 a.m. At 3:52 a.m. a burglar alarm went off at the chancellor’s residence. UMSL PD checked the residence and all was in order. At 4:20 p.m. a visitor to campus was transported to the hospital via ambulance after a fall in the Recreation and Wellness Center. At 10:18 p.m., UMSL PD and residence life staff responded to a smell of marijuana in Oak Hall.
January 21: At 5:45 p.m., UMSL PD responded to a verbal altercation between an UMSL student and an acquaintance at Mansion Hill. At 8:32 p.m., a driver’s license was left at Oak Hall and turned in to UMSL PD. The owner was notified.
January 22: At 8:30 a.m., UMSL PD assisted while personal items were removed from an office in Express Scripts Hall. At 10:50 a.m., an auto accident between two vehicles occurred on West Drive near Lucas Drive. No injuries and minor damage occurred.
January 23: An UMSL student was transported to the hospital via ambulance due to an issue with medication at 12:30 a.m. from Oak Hall. At 1:30 a.m., UMSL PD responded to a burglar alarm apparently set off by wind at 8224 Natural Bridge (Sigma Pi house). At 11:35 a.m., UMSL PD responded to a burglar alarm set off by maintenance crew at 8300 Natural Bridge (Delta Zeta house). A found driver’s license was turned in to UMSL PD at 10 p.m. A found wedding band was turned in to UMSL PD from the Social Science Building at 11 p.m.
January 24: A delayed report was filed by an UMSL faculty member reporting their parked car was struck and damaged on January 23 between 9:15 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. on Lot R. At 2:13 p.m., UMSL PD arrested two juveniles suspected of breaking into parked vehicles in the Millennium North garage, Lot SS, and South Campus parking garage at 2:13 p.m. Juveniles were transported to the St. Louis County Juvenile Detention Center. At 10:49 p.m., an UMSL student reported their lost wallet was turned in to a computer lab and was missing sixty dollars cash.
January 25: UMSL PD and Residence Life staff referred a student to counseling services after experiencing anxiety at 1:30 a.m. in Oak Hall. At 5:33 p.m., An UMSL staff member reported a door appeared tampered with in Provincial House.
