The following is a series of daily crime and incident reports issued by the University of
Missouri-St. Louis Police Department from Sept. 26, 2018 through October. 10, 2018.
Sept. 26, 2018: At 1:00 p.m., an UMSL staff member reported damage to their parked car, most likely caused by another vehicle that later left the scene of the accident. At 3:10 p.m., an UMSL student reported that they fell victim to an email scam, resulting in a loss of $2400. At 7:00 p.m., UMSL PD found a cellphone and placed it into safe keeping.
Sept. 27, 2018: At 6:41 a.m., UMSL PD found someone sleeping on the Normandy Golf Course. At 9:45 a.m., minor damage was reported to two vehicles at Lot N.
Sept. 28, 2018: At 1:34 a.m., two UMSL students were caught in an altercation; only one student was arrested due to outstanding warrants. At 12:26 p.m., an UMSL instructor reported stolen equipment from the classroom. At 1:33 p.m., keys, debit cards, and IDs were turned into UMSL PD. At 2:36 p.m., UMSL PD assisted a student that was stuck in an elevator.
Sept. 29, 2018: At 8:55 a.m., UMSL students reported a suspicious vehicle that passed them several times. At 6:05 p.m., an UMSL PD officer assisted with EMS sick case.
Sept. 30, 2018: At 7:45 p.m., a debit card was turned into UMSL PD by an UMSL student.
Oct. 1, 2018: At 12:38 p.m., UMSL PD found a bike key and held it for safekeeping. At 12:29 p.m., an UMSL student was transported to the hospital after an ankle injury. At 1:30 p.m., an UMSL student reported a fraudulent check send to them. At 1:45 p.m., an UMSL student reported their bike and bike lock stolen.
Oct. 2, 2018: At 8:46 a.m., a Metrolink passenger was taken to the ambulance. At 9:49 a.m., an UMSL student was taken to the hospital via ambulance after reportedly feeling chest pain.
Oct. 3, 2018: At 1:37 a.m., an UMSL student reported a person urinating on a tree, the person was never found. At 9:30 a.m., an UMSL student reported an altercation with an UMSL staff member. At 2:10 a.m., an UMSL student reported an uncomfortable incident that happened to them in class. At 10:30 p.m., laptop was turned in to UMSL PD.
Oct. 4, 2018: At 12:01 p.m., an UMSL staff member reported their cash stolen. At 12:02 p.m. a pair of keys were turned in to UMSL PD. At 5:00 p.m. more keys were discovered and turned into UMSL PD. At 11:39 p.m., an UMSL student was transported to the ambulance for diabetes related issues. At 11:54 p.m., a Metrolink passenger passed out and was taken to the ambulance.
Oct. 5, 2018: An UMSL student reported a stolen backpack and was recovered in Ohio. At 2:35 p.m., someone turned in a stray dog that was turned loose near the UMSL Metrolink stop.
Oct. 7, 2018: At 2:58 p.m., an UMSL student was transported to the hospital via ambulance. At 4:57 p.m., a Sodexo employee reportedly assaulted another employee.
Oct. 9, 2018: At 12:52 p.m., an UMSL student was taken to the hospital via ambulance. At 3:17 p.m., the burglar alarm was triggered at the chancellor’s residence, this turned out to be a malfunction. At 6:03 p.m., an individual was ticketed for driving without a license.
Oct. 10, 2018: At 6:36 a.m., an individual was escorted off of campus with a trespassing warning. At 1:45 p.m., a driver’s license was turned into UMSL PD. At 5:56 p.m., a set of keys were turned into UMSL PD.
