Office of Student Involvement
Homecoming is a tradition as old as UMSL itself. The Office of Student Involvement invites you to join us for a week of celebrating UMSL students and alumni, show your Triton Pride, and watch the RISE OF THE RED & GOLD! Homecoming will take place Feb. 21 – 23, 2019. Don’t miss out on these great UMSL Homecoming traditions:
- Chili Feed (11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the MSC Century Rooms) – Kick off our Homecoming festivities with a bowl of homemade chili, created from recipes of our very own UMSL faculty. For only $5 for faculty & staff, or $4 for students, you will have the opportunity to sample 5 chili recipes served by UMSL faculty and administrators. Taste carefully! You will vote for your favorite chili entry to select the winner of the Golden Ladle Award. Purchase pre-sale tickets (available through Feb. 20) online by visiting homecoming.umsl.edu or purchase in person with cash, credit or declining balance/dining dollars at the Nosh, Triton Treats, Einstein Bros Bagels, Simply-to-Go Café (SLB), and Provincial House Dining Hall. All proceeds benefit the Pagedale Family Support Center.
- Pack the Stands (5:30 p.m. in Mark Twain Gymnasium) – Cheer on the UMSL Tritons as they take on the Drury Panthers. UMSL students, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends are encouraged to attend the annual Pack the Stands Basketball game. Student groups also have the chance to participate in the Spirit Sign Contest during halftime as part of the Triton Spirit Competition.
- Lip Sync (7 p.m. in the Touhill Performing Arts Center Lee Theater) – Think “Lip Sync Battle” with an UMSL twist! The Lip Sync Competition is a battle to see which group has the moves and performance to be crowned the 2019 Lip Sync CHAMPION! This is a FREE event – so join us for an unforgettable night of entertainment!
- Dinner & Dance – The marquee event of Homecoming week! Students, faculty, staff, and alumni are invited to spend an elegant night at the Marriott Grand Hotel in downtown St. Louis. A three course meal will be included with the price of your ticket. Be sure to join us for a night of dinner, dancing and fun, along with crowning of the 2019 Homecoming Royalty.
