The following is a series of daily crime and incident reports issued by the University of Missouri-St. Louis Police Department from Jan. 3 through Jan. 17.
Jan. 3, 2019: No incidents to report.
Jan. 4, 2019: An UMSL student reported a lost international ID card.
Jan. 5, 2019: No incidents to report.
Jan. 6, 2019: At 3:06 p.m. UMSL PD escorted an UMSL student from the Recreation and Wellness Center after refusing a staff member’s request.
At 10 p.m. a visitor reported that change was stolen from their car, which had been parked for an extended period of time in the Millennium North Parking Garage.
Jan. 7, 2019: At 8:14 a.m. three abandoned bicycles were turned in by UMSL Facilities for safe-keeping.
At 7:36 p.m. an UMSL student was treated and released by paramedics after experiencing shortness of breath in Mansion Hill.
Jan. 8, 2019: At 10:30 a.m. an UMSL staff member reported gift cards were stolen from a south campus classroom.
At 12:30 p.m. an UMSL staff member reported a computer stolen from a classroom in Benton Hall.
At 12:30 p.m. a contract employee was stuck in an elevator in the Millennium Student Center. UMSL PD, facilities Northeast FD and an elevator service company responded.
At 8:00 p.m. an UMSL staff member reported finding a door propped open two separate times during the day in Villa Hall.
Jan. 9, 2019: A non-student was treated by paramedics for a hand injury and released at the Recreation and Wellness Center.
Jan. 10, 2019: No incidents to report.
Jan. 11, 2019: At 10:01 a.m. an UMSL student experienced numbness in the face and was taken to the hospital.
At 3:30 p.m. a university vehicle hit a curb at parking lot K and West Drive, causing minor damage. No injuries were reported.
Jan. 12, 2019: No incidents to report.
Jan. 13, 2019: An UMSL student reported a catalytic converter was stolen from their car parked in the South Campus parking garage between Dec. 14 and Dec. 27.
Jan. 14, 2019: UMSL facilities reported a salt truck hit a light pole in parking lot K while doing snow removal.
UMSL facilities reported a backhoe damaged a building sign in November.
Jan. 15, 2019: At 10:19 a.m. an UMSL student reported a slip and fall on outside steps, refusing medical attention.
At 2:33 p.m. UMSL PD responded to a report of a prospective student upset with a process, but the student was found in an advisors office and all was in order.
At 2:47 p.m. a visitor suffered a facial injury during a basketball game in the Recreation and Wellness Center. They were treated and released by paramedics.
At 2:56 p.m. an UMSL student requested information regarding a dispute with a relative.
At 9:00 p.m. a set of car keys were found and given to UMSL PD.
Jan. 16, 2019: UMSL PD responded to a report of a found wallet in Mansion Hill they did not want to leave with staff members.
Jan. 17, 2019: At 1:01 p.m. two vehicles were involved in an accident in parking lot E. There was minor damage to the vehicles and no injuries.
At 3:24 UMSL PD and NE Fire Department assisted a visitor that was stuck in an elevator.
