This week at the Office of Student Involvement at the University of Missouri-St. Louis:

Students, welcome to campus for the 2018-2019 academic year! We are so excited to have you here at UMSL. Each week, you can check out this column to see what’s happening in the Office of Student Involvement! The first week of classes is packed with lots of great activities, so we hope to see you there!

  • On Wednesday, August 22, from 11 AM – 2 PM, the OSI will host the annual Fall Involvement Expo. This is a student organization and campus involvement fair that provides student organizations and campus departments the opportunity to showcase their organizations and services to the campus community. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to interact with many different involvement opportunities on campus, so we hope to see you there! The Expo will take place on the lawn outside the Rec Center and the MSC.
  • On Thursday, August 23, from 11 AM – 1:30 PM, the OSI will host the Fall Volunteer Fair. Meet 50+ community organizations and learn how you can get involved in local service opportunities at the Fall Volunteer Fair. Opportunities range from one-time projects to service-related internships. This event is another great way to get connected on campus! The Volunteer Fair will also take place on the lawn outside the Rec Center and the MSC.
  • Fraternity & Sorority Life recruitment will be taking place over the next few weeks. If you have ever considered joining a Fraternity or Sorority, or even if you just have questions about what that involves, you should consider attending one of the many recruitment events taking place! Visit the Fraternity & Sorority Life portal on TritonSync for more information on events that are happening and how to sign-up for recruitment.
