This is the operation department of the ‘The Current.’ Anyone whose job is to help with the day to day running of ‘The Current’ is within this department. This includes: Marketing, Social Media, Web Designing, and Business Managers.
Kat Riddler graduated from UMSL with a BA in English, minor in German, certificate in technical writing, certificate in creative writing, and certificate from the Pierre Laclede Honors College in May 2014. Riddler graduated UMSL with MAs in English: Literature, Composition and Rhetoric. She is attending UMSL for her MBA currently. Riddler works at Media Magic Public Relations, Nerdy Bits Blog, The Graduate Business office, and The Current while attending school. Before Riddler was EIC at The Current, she was senior copy editor then Managing Editor/News Editor of the paper. This is Riddler's fourth year with The Current. Riddler completed the Executive Fellows Mentoring Program at UMSL in fall 2015. Riddler's academic achievements include graduating Magna Cum Laude and the recipient of several awards and scholarships including the English's Department's prestigious Meehan Scholarship. Riddler's extracurricular activities include serving as the President of Sigma Tau Delta (The International English Honors Society) and being a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success (Sigma Alpha Pi). As an undergraduate, Riddler served as a judge on the Student Court.

Victoria Modenesi is a graduate student at University of Missouri-St. Louis from Argentina. She is proudly bilingual, and she enjoys speaking both languages and combining them. She also believes that speaking two or more languages broadens her view of the world(s) around her, and plans to continue learning other languages after graduation. Victoria graduated in Argentina with honors with a BEd in English.
She first came to Saint Louis through an internship with Amity Institute as a student teacher in which she taught Spanish and other subjects in Spanish at a charter and language immersion IB school downtown. She is currently attending to her MA in English: Composition & Rhetoric and is planning to graduate by the end of this academic year.
She joined The Current in 2016 as the Social Media Director and has recently started working on an opinions column called International Rationale. Before joining The Current, she participated at the Gateway Writing Project Summer Institute and is now a Teacher Consultant for GWP. This academic year she will also be working as a graduate research assistant with Dr. Lauren Obermark in the fields of Rhetoric, Pedagogy and Disabilities Studies.
